Pakiet umożliwia wyrównanie długości ostatnich szpalt przy składzie dwuszpaltowym (p. też flushend). Udostępnia dwa polecenia: \balance -- szpalty będą wyrównane i \nobalance -- szpalty nie będą wyrównane.
