This version, 0.3000, of Perl/Gnome is primarily for testing against gnome .30 and gtk+1.1.2: please don't rely on it. It should make a good example of things to come, but it's also buggy as all get out. To compile this, you'll first need to compile and install Perl/Gtk 0.4. (The integration technique between the Gtk and Gnome modules is "interesting", but can be simplified if you wish to play around with RTLD_GLOBAL.) Some of the bugs include a rather odd "limit" effect, where defining too many Gnome types causes some of them to break. (Try building Perl/Gnome --with all the options, and then trying all of the tests.) Also, efence chokes somewhere in the bowels of gnome_init, which might be another bug, or a symptom. If anyone feels up to debugging this mess, I'd appreciate it. (Figuring out exactly _how_ it can be debugged is part of the challenge...) Oh, and the DNS stuff doesn't seem to do anything. Dunno why.
