functions for the efficient visualization of ramps.paleomap data object.etopo and demcmap
data.frames to topos.ramplegend function does not have
x="left", x="right", "x=bottom"
and top "x=left" settings, horizontal=TRUE is
not yet implemented, and neither are margial legends.
