integrateDnHazard(): the annual rate at
which the Newmark displacement of a sliding mass with a fixed yield
coefficient exceeds a threshold, integrated over one site’s rock hazard
curves with the site factor, the displacement regressions and their
weights; it reports the Poisson probability over the exposure, the
contribution of a band of return periods, a bound of the rare tail
beyond the curves, the calibration range of the yield coefficient of
each model and the numerical diagnostics of its quadratures. The command
exposes it as the other operations of the displacement family.tables argument given as a JSON array whose members
are all file references is decoded like the object form; it was refused
as if it were neither an array nor an object of tables.newmark: line
alone, as an unreadable referenced .json file already was;
it exited 1 as a failed operation.sampleSoilLayers() counts the layers of a column as the
ceiling of its height over the layer thickness with a stated rounding
tolerance. The quotient of two decimal lengths can land a few units of
double precision above an integer, as with 2.1 m divided by 0.3 m, and
the column got one layer more than its height holds. Only a quotient
that exceeds an integer by at most four times the double-precision
epsilon, relative to its value, changes its count.integrateDnHazard()
and the steep upper tail of integrateSiteSpectrum() run
outside CRAN, in continuous integration and locally; on CRAN’s Windows
server the whole check took more than ten minutes with them.moduleNote,
moduleProgress and moduleWarning) with the
fields operation, phase, unit,
path, count and total. Their
texts lose the prefixes dry run:,
<step>:, evaluateSiteFactor: and
>>, and the kmax warnings name their table in
parentheses. A failure after a publication of
processProject() has the classes
newmarkPartialPublication,
modulePartialPublication and moduleFailure.
The command reads its arguments from the launcher, whose renderer writes
these conditions on stderr and takes --verbose and
--quiet..isName() and
.isKmaxIdentifier() become one predicate,
.isIdentifier(), and .dnDemandsOK() and
.hasKmaxDemands() become .hasDemands(). They
are internal; no exported function changes its behavior.test-<function>.R form; for example,
test-kmax-table.R is now
test-buildKmaxTable.R.?newmark, describes all the
families of exported functions.VancouverSpectra: the uniform hazard

rock, from the seismic hazard tool of Natural Resources Canada. The

of displacement models (ensemble, rigid and
flexible) that the displacement and kmax tables summarize
as trees, each with the identifiers of its models. The command line runs
it as the operation of the same name.?newmark loses the package name from its title. The
help pages of estimatePGV() and estimateAI()
cite Verri Kozlowski (2023), the source of the rock records their
relations were fitted on. On CRAN, the tests that repeat a step of
processProject() skip; one run of each step and the dry run
still execute there.Mw.gmdp takes one magnitude for every demand, as
before, or an object that names each return period of
TR.gmdp and MCE with its own magnitude;
buildDnTables() takes the same as a named vector in
Mw. The DnTable step applies the magnitude of each demand.
A contract with one magnitude gives the same tables as before.newmark doctor prints one JSON report of the
installation, as every module of the family does: schema,
package, version, summary and the
checks library, exports,
packages, tools and receipt, each
with name, required, status and
detail; it exits 1 when a required check fails, and
doctor --help lists the checks.
describeModule(resources) returns that report.
newmark --version prints two lines, the package with its
version and the build commit..json file that an argument of the command refers to
and that cannot be read as JSON is a usage error, exit 2 with the
newmark: line alone, as an invalid INPUT.json
already was; it exited 1 as a failed operation.This release replaces the interface of newmark 1.3.0, the previous CRAN release. The package was rebuilt around functions named by what they compute, one family at a time: soil profiles, site response, hazard inputs, displacements and the pseudostatic coefficient.
buildGMDP() and
fitSaFMixture(), are retired in this release:
fitSaFMixture() is replaced by
integrateSiteMixture(), and the hazard inputs that
buildGMDP() staged are read with
readHazardWorkbook(), convertAEP() and
evaluateUniformHazard().approx.spline, buildQSpline,
